Donna Hendel has been folk dancing since her college years - she met her husband in an internationally renowned Yugoslav folk dance ensemble called TOMOV. Together, they toured all over the world - performing at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall in New York, at dance festivals throughout Europe, and as entertainment for the Olympic athletes.
Since those performance days, Donna has honed her skills as an educator and has received several awards. She earned her Master’s degree in Preschool Education and Jewish Studies from Case Western Reserve. Donna graduated from the Hebrew Through Movement course in 2012 (incorporating movement into Hebrew School teaching), finished her training with Children’s Music Express (teaching music through movement), in 2013, and became an active member of the Children’s Music Network in 2015.
Nowadays, Donna teaches Hebrew and Religious School and also tutors privately in Hebrew. She specializes in dance classes for children of all ages, from babies (movement), toddlers (with instruments), religious school students (lots of action!), and seniors (chair dancing).
